The town of Denia is situated at the foot of the lovely mountain Montgo between Valencia and Alicante. It is a small fishing village, known for its routes to the Balearic Islands - Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, etc and the narrow railway line along the coast to Alicante. This and the huge fishing fleet have made Denia a very prosperous city over the past years.
North of the town is situated Las Marinas. It has sandy beaches that extend for more than 15 km and are ideal place to sunbath and swim. Denia has first class Yacht Club (Denia New Marina) and offers condition for water sports.
