The autonomous community of Basque Country is situated in northern parts of Spain. It borders autonomous community of Navarre and republic of France (East), La Rioja (south), Cantabria and Castille and Leon (west) and has a coastline at Cantabrian Sea - Bay of Biscay (north).

Basque Country consists of 3 province: Alava (capital Vitoria-Gasteiz), Biscay (capital Bilbao) and Guipuzcoa (capital Donostia-San Sebastian).
The capital of the autonomous community is Vitoria-Gasteiz but the largest city is Bilbao.
