Partido Judicial de Aviles (or only Aviles) is a municipal town in autonomous community of Asturias, Spain. It is situated on the Cantabria coast, west of the centre of Asturias province. The city has good transport connections to the Basque Country and also to la Coruna in Galicia.
The city is 3rd most important city in Asturias in economic and populous terms after Oviedo and Gijon, but is one of the most visited by tourists because its beautiful and extensive old district, set on the left bank of one of the Aviles 2 rivers - Penas.
