City of Cadiz is located in southwestern Spain in autonomous community of Andalusia. It is a capital city of Province of Cadiz. The town has an unique location - narrow spit of land surrounded by the sea.

Cadiz is the oldest continuously-inhabited city in the Iberian Peninsula. It has been a principal home port of the Spanish Navy since the accession of the Spanish Bourbons in the 18th century. It is a typically Andalusian city that preserves lots of historical landmarks.

The older part of the Cadiz ("the Old City"), within the remnants of the city walls, has lots of narow winding streets connecting large plazas and antique quarters (barrios).
